Chen G. Schimmel is a rising voice in photojournalism, known for her ability to capture the human spirit amidst profound crisis. Born in London, she made Aliyah to Israel at the age of 18, joining a Mechina program before serving in the Israel Defense Forces. It was during these formative years that she discovered the power of a camera to tell the stories words often cannot.
At just 25 years old, Schimmel's work took on profound significance in the wake of the October 7th tragedy.
As a staff photojournalist for The Jerusalem Post, her coverage of the war provided insight into the lives of displaced families, wounded soldiers, hostage families, and survivors of terror. Chen G.
